Stronger 2024

As a passionate runner, the journey back to the roads following my second sacral stress fracture in December 2023, compounded by osteitis pubis, has been a challenge. However, with the support of my family, sports physio, sports doc, training partners and of course, Chiron, my holistic training companion, I’m finally regaining consistency in my weekly mileage.

Recovery from a stress fracture demands patience, dedication, and a comprehensive approach to training. The complex and chronic nature of OP sits at a level above bone stress injuries, in my opinion. With Chiron, still its pre-alpha, I’ve navigated my rehabilitation journey, strength and conditioning, cross-training, and running rebuild, while also analysing my training journal and learning crucial lessons, all within a single platform.

Cross-training also seems to help with recovery by keeping the body moving and increasing blood flow to the areas that need it, without the same stress caused by running. Chiron’s ability to easily allocate and manage cross-training has allowed me to stay active and engaged while giving my body the necessary rest from running.
  4. Running Rebuild: Perhaps the most crucial aspect of my journey was the gradual return to running. Chiron’s running training planning tools have facilitated a safe and sustainable transition back to full training, enabling me to gradually increase mileage and intensity.
