A race series groups several of your club’s events — a summer series, a cross-country league, a parkrun-style season — so entrants are followed, and ranked, across every round. Series belong to a club, so create a club first.
Create a series
- Go to More → Clubs, open your club, and tap Series.
- Tap New Series.
- Enter a Series Title. Sport Type, Status, Description, Race Type, Registration URL and the Include sex / age category / team options are optional.
- Save the series.
To change a series later, open it and tap Edit. Deleting a series removes its participants and standings; its events stay in your club.
Add events to a series
There are two ways:
- From an event — open the event, tap Edit, turn on Part of a series, and choose the series. You can also create a new series from here.
- From the series — open the series, tap Events, then New Event. The new event is already attached to the series.
An event can belong to one series, and only to a series of the same club. When you add an event that already has entrants, they’re linked to the series straight away.
Remove an event from a series
Open the event, tap Edit, and remove it from its series in the Series section, then confirm. The event and its results stay in your club; they just stop counting towards the series.
Series participants
Open the series and tap Participants to see everyone who has entered any of its events. Chiron recognises the same person across events when their first and last name match and their email or year of birth matches too, so it helps to record email or year of birth for every entrant.
Scoring and standings
- Open the series and tap Series Scoring.
- Tap Enable Scoring, then Save Settings.
How points work:
- In each event, an entrant scores points equal to their finishing position within their sex category — 1 point for first, 2 for second, and so on.
- Anyone who didn’t finish, didn’t start, or didn’t enter that event scores one point more than the slowest finisher in their category.
- Points are added up across the series, and the lowest total wins. Standings are ranked separately for each sex category.
Only events marked Final Results count. Standings update automatically whenever an event in the series is marked final. To update them by hand, tap Force Recalculate Series Standings on the scoring screen.
Open Series Standings to see the table, and tap a participant to see their result in each event.
